In this video I'll be loking at different ways to implement strummed triplets into your folk guitar backing patterns for jigs. Here are the diagrams for the patterns. X denotes a triplet, an "up, down, up", where each stroke is a semi-quaver long, aka twice as fast as an average one. M denotes a palm mute. Da-da-diddley: ↓ . ↓ ↑ ↓ ↑ - regular ↓ X ↓ ↑ ↓ - with triplet Traditional: ↓ . ↓ ↓ . ↓ - regular ↓ . ↓ X ↑ - with triplet Funky/ upside down: ↑ . ↑ M ↑ ↓ - regular ↓ X ↓ ↑ ↓ - with triplet (note that this is the same as the da-da- diddly version) Please like my facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/finaleguitar/ Subscribe for more free guitar tutorials and message me if youd like to start guitar lessons in Sheffield.
